Civic Education: Curating the Escape to the Last Room Exhibition to Translate Complex Digital Laws into Public Awareness
2026-2-07
From questions about whether prosecutors may deploy IMSI-catcher surveillance vehicles in criminal investigations, to the legal scope of obtaining digital evidence from seized mobile phones and its admissibility in court; from concerns over personal data leakage within the judicial system to debates on whether AI should be used to draft judicial decisions.
From the development of legal frameworks to prevent the spread of non-consensual intimate images, to the challenge of removing criminal content from cross-border online platforms.
From the controversy surrounding the mandatory replacement with digital ID cards, to public concerns over potential government regulation of online speech following the proposal of the Digital Intermediary Services Act.
As judicial reform enters the digital era, the landscape of reform is expanding rapidly.
What rights do we have in the digital environment?
Who poses potential threats to those rights?
And who is responsible for safeguarding them?
After engaging with a wide range of digital governance controversies in recent years, the Judicial Reform Foundation (JRF) hopes to use this exhibition as a platform for reflection and dialogue. The goal is to invite more people into the conversation—so that individuals are no longer merely subjects shaped by technological systems, but ordinary citizens with the ability to choose, deliberate, and assert their rights.
How is freedom possible in the digital age?
What answers might be found in the last room?
